Dear Mr. Barnes,

I am writing to you today in response to your advertisement for a qualified Actor for your film, Avatar. After carefully reviewing the description of physical characteristics, the character’s personality, and the experience that you seek in film; I know I would make an excellent choice for this great Actor position. I am highly experienced, talented, and fit the physical description of this character as set forth in your posting. For this reason, I am supplying my resume and head shot for your consideration.

I have been a professional Actor for the past 15 years, having got my start as a five year old in a commercial for Nabisco cereal brands in 1995. Since that time, I have gained considerable experience in professional acting and have worked in hundreds of parts to include Broadway, film, and commercials. I also have a degree in Theater Arts from University of Michigan, and many accolades to offer from directors, fellow actors, and critics. My most recent work has been for a Broadway show, Mr. Mark, in which I was cast in a leading role and we held top rank for the space of three months. Previous to this, I did a commercial for Eyewitness Theatre Company for a women’s beauty product. As an Actor, I am highly professional, adaptable, and enthusiastic. I pull my acting capabilities from various aspects of my life, and bring life to every role that I have opportunity to work on. In closing, I know that my looks, my experience, and my background make me an exceptional choice this movie.
